Accessibility
Last updated: September 2026
fn42.dev is committed to being usable by everyone, following the four principles of accessibility: perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
Standard
This site aims to conform to level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 from the W3C.
Measures taken
- Semantic structure with
header, mainandfooterlandmarks, and a single main heading per page. - Keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link.
- Alternative text on images, and decorative icons hidden from screen readers.
- Sufficient contrast (pure black on white, or white on black) and underlined links, so meaning never relies on colour alone.
- Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionpreference, and pause controls on any looping clip. - Accessible labels on the interactive controls, the mobile menu and the theme toggle.
- Modal dialogs (the menu and the image lightbox) that move focus inside, keep it there, and return it when they close.
Known limitations
This is a process of continuous improvement. The site is reviewed by hand, so some content or detail may still need polishing. If you find anything, please tell me.
